Limitations of Codex and Why We say things the way we do.
CODEX alimentarius is an international trade treaty that is very controversial these days. It will impact our food supply (making it nearly impossible to get organic products from outside our local areas) and will limit the practice of non-medical health workers to dealing with the parameters of:
- Quality of Life
- Pain Management
- First Aid
- Stress Management
- Peak Performance
All non- medical workers… energy workers, complimentary protocols, etc. We all realize that without a medical degree we must be careful about how we speak to people about their issues; we cannot diagnose, treat, cure, or prescribe. This will become even more important when CODEX is fully implemented
We CAN help people to understand how their body works and why sometimes there seems to be a cascade of communication breakdown and resultant health issues. We CAN steer the interested person to additional information that may help them understand their issues and make informed choices about their options and the quality of the materials they choose to use.
So when we talk about using essential oils and supplements and cleansing protocols, we are focusing on the above 5 allowed parameters and while we may speak of the impact on functionality of the body, we are not identifying specific diseases or prescribing or diagnosing a person, we may use a named issue to exemplify the resultant imbalances, but each person interested in health will have to make their own conclusions and seek medical diagnosis.
Here is an interesting article written by John Gilbert PhD. regarding CODEX and complimentary health workers. codex-alimentarius-and-aromatherapy
Healing is Spiritual
In addition to these rules and laws that we must follow, many of us in complimentary health believe that all healing comes from the CREATOR, we are capable of healing ourselves. We simply need to create a situation in our bodies and attitudes that allows the healing to happen. We need assistance from others who understand various techniques to help us to bring that healing energy toward us. These are facilitators. Facilitators may be chiropractors, massage therapists, aromatherapists, spiritual healers, colon hydrotherapy, Reiki masters or others. Much depends on what your body and spirit need and what modalities resonate with you. So please understand that we cannot address a dis-ease in the same manner a doctor is permitted to speak of them, and we look at health issues in a way that is holistic rather than as a specific physical symptom.
