The Center for Disease Control just released another survey regarding obesity. The results for Texas indicate 26 to 29% of adults are obese. Comments say that the majority of the problem resides in poor areas.
When you look at the recommendations for what to do and the Federally Financed Obesity reduction programs, the suggestions center on more exercise and dietary changes.
While these are great ideas and are necessary for health and longevity; sometimes obesity can be caused by other layers of issues- among them are: Toxins, Inadequate Enzymes, Parasites, Fungal overgrowth, and just plain sludge.
We are bombarded on a daily basis with toxins, whether we breathe them, consume them, or make them ourselves through our own metabolism. The work of receptor site researchers like Candace Pert and Esther Sternberg tell us that these molecules can stay stuck for awhile causing potential defects in hormone balance, cellular communication, and cellular reproduction.
Inadequate Digestive Enzymes can also lead to weight gain and other health and behavior issues. If food is not digested into small enough particles, the larger particles can make their way through the intestinal wall anyway (leaky gut syndrome) and cause what we know as “food allergies” results can be pain, behavior problems, rash, and other manifestations. Supplementing the body with additional digestive enzymes can be one step toward weight loss for people who have this as a causal factor. Cleansing is also called for to remove the build-up of undigested food (some people have had over 60 pounds of undigested food in their system at death.)
Parasites and fungal infestations may be a root cause and there is even research regarding a human adeno-virus that can cause obesity.
If the cause is parasitic or fungal, those cravings for carbohydrates may be caused by the creatures and seem out of the subject’s control. To stop the creatures from yelling for food, they need to be eliminated.
Yeasts and parasites love living in acid environments, thus the dietary changes should include switching to LESS ACID CAUSING food. (There is a misconception about this, the food may be acid going in to the system, like lemon juice, but upon digestion, it has an alkalizing ability.) video here Additional cleansing of the system is also called for.
Sludge in our digestive system can also speed up the road to obesity. The intestinal wall is lined with tiny structures called villi whose job it is to absorb nutrients from the digested food as it moves through the system. If undigested sludge, parasites, or toxins clog the receptor sites, we CANNOT absorb the nutrients we need to be healthy. Our bodies may cry for more food because it cannot absorb what it needs from the food it gets.
Since the CDC does not address cleansing, I am going to talk about it here. As explained above, it is probably needed by most of us and we hate to talk about our elimination system. (I just love the kid’s book “Everyone Poops” .)
Those of us blessed with a Grandma who was schooled in Common Sense Health, one who grew up before we all got brainwashed into thinking there is a Pill for everything, we know that for any ailment, the enema bag was part of the suggested treatment.
Ancient cultures including the Egyptians used colon cleansing as an adjunct to good health. After all over 90% of our immune system resides in our gut.
Whether we go to a spa for colon hydro therapy, or start a cleanse at home, cleansing should become a part of our healthy routine and there are many ways of accomplishing this. And they do not always require a lot of money.
Stanley Burroughs brought us the Master Cleanse which uses a special lemonade containing:
• Lemon to alkalize the tissues
• Cayanne Pepper to increase flow of blood and lymph so that toxins that are loosened can easily get out.
• Molasses to provide minerals and calories so we can give our digestive tract a rest.
Enemas can give you a good start on a cleanse and can be done at home with a $12 to $25 2-quart enema bag from the drug store, or larger 1 gallon ones can be found on the web. Apparently colon hydro therapists in Texas have been having some problems with the state so home care may be the best choice. Search the internet for supplies, recipes, instructions and even some videos.
Enema Recipes abound, here is one I like and you can find more on the internet.
• In a blender place
• 2 cloves of garlic will help remove parasites and yeast
• 1 capful of aloe gel (from the fillet, not just aloe juice) soothing to the intestinal wall
• 2 capfuls of bentonite liquid (bentonite is a clay that has been used for centuries to pull out toxins.
• Add 2 quarts of warm filtered or distilled water (recall that the intestines are for absorbing nutrients, we don’t want to add a bunch of chlorine or other chemicals here.)
Follow the instructions with your bag.
My favorite cleanses include Therapeutic Quality Essential Oils and are made by Young Living.
The Cleansing Trio was my choice to help me eliminate ½ dozen medications and pave the way to lose 64 pounds. It includes :
• EssentialZyme- a very powerful set of digestive enzymes plus essential oils
• ICP or intestinal cleansing powder- soluble and insoluble fibers plus oils to help dissolve and eliminate toxins from the receptor sites.
• Comfort Tone- Stimulates peristalsis in the intestinal tract and contains oils as well as additional “cleaning brushes” to clean up the villi.

5 Day Nutritive Cleanse Includes some super nutrition products along with supportive essential oils.
Once the system begins to clear, it is possible to begin to balance the hormones and other aspects of the body.
Grandma was right- cleaning up the intestinal tract is the fastest way to recover from contagious diseases and the starting point in battling a degenerative disease. Just as we change the oil filter on our car and the AC filter in our HVAC systems, we need to clean our own plumbing and filtration systems periodically to keep them in functional condition.
